Sheppard Memorial Library Phase 3.5 Reopening Information

The library will move into our SML Reopening Phase 3.5 on Wednesday, March 24Phase 3.5 will allow limited public access into library facilities,
for limited activities, as follows:  

-Masks are required for service

-The new phase will add Saturday hours as follows: 9am-2pm at the main library and 1pm-5pm at the Winterville Library

-Dropping off, searching for and checking out materials/Grab and Go 

-SML is open 9am - 7pm Monday & Wednesday, 9am - 5pm Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday, 9am - 2pm Saturday

-All branches open 9am - 5pm Monday – Friday, except Bethel (Open Tuesdays & Thursdays 1:30 - 4pm and Curbside Only Wednesdays 1:30 - 4pm)

-Limit of 30 patrons at one time at the Main Library, 10 patrons in the Children's Library (or two families of 5+), and 15 patrons at a Branch Library; 4 patrons at Bethel Library

-Children must be accompanied by an adult

-Limited computer access at Carver Branch, East Branch, and Winterville Libraries (1 hour per day/per person)

-No meeting room use

-Virtual programming will continue, and curbside service will continue at Carver, East, Winterville, and Bethel, but curbside service at the Main Library will be suspended at the start of SML Phase 2. We plan to expand and provide more services going forward, as COVID-19 conditions permit, so please stay tuned!
